FALL!

It is officially fall in the mountains... the leaves are starting to change, the air is crisp and we have pulled out our warm winter clothes! Snuggling is our favorite past time!

HORSES CHARGE!!

Here are the 2 horses that charged at us last night!! We decided to take the dogs for a walk at about 6:30 last night. Just before we got to the bottom of the drive 3 of the dogs come streaking back at us; barking and with hair raised! 2 horses were charging down our street (with no riders on them) and charged at us... luckily Cate was attached to me and Dustin (the horse whisperer) was able to keep them from charging at me up the driveway (as I went to put the dogs in the house) Dustin tried to keep them from going out onto the highway- which with the help of Salomon did NOT work! Dustin grabbed 2 dog leashes (he continues to amaze me with his quick thinking) while I called 911- animal control was closed! While I gave the man on the phone- who did not seem as excited about it as I did- the information- Dustin lasso'ed the horses with the leashes in my neighbors yard (who were interrupted from their dinner when 2 horses decided to eat their dinner in their yard)! Needless to say, 2 hours later and a little pet detective work by Kelly and Cate- the horses were taken away by animal control because their owner was on vacation! Never a dull moment on Daniels Daughter! Now our next pets may be horses (oh and we'd definately get 2)!

New Car

So buying a new car has been such an ordeal! We got a used Volvo from a great place- we wanted a car that would go from point a to point b! My luck is that the check engine light has come on 3 x!! Hopefully it will be worth it and not a lemon!
